2010 Book List -- 111

Because I have all of my book recommendations scattered over five sites, I just want put them all together in one place. And that way you can see which books I plan on reading before you suggest new ones. But first, some rules.

The following books are sorted alphabetically by author names. As in G: Green, John -- not J: John Green. If the book has more than one author, it will be still be listed alphabetically but author names. Also, I will put a colored slash beside each book that fits one of the seven challenges (look in the side bar).

1 comment:

  1. Alanna by Tamora Pierce is probably the first fantasy/girl-power series I ever found. I LOVED those books! Read all her work she's awesome. I love the Great Gatsby as well.

I would also recommend A Wish After Midnight by Zetta Elliott, The Last summer of the death warriors by Frnacisco Stork (when it's released), Gringolandia by Lyn Miller-Lachmann, Who will Tell My Brtoher? by Marlene Cavell and the Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. Just to start you off. all POC.

Mare's War and Flygirl are awesome and should be read together! Mare's War has more action but Flygirl is about a tough topic for African Americans (passing which is controversial. Is passing acceptable at times or never acceptable?) Whale Talk is LOVE.

    You have an awesome list.
